Intended Audience; Number of Seats:
This course is intended for individuals looking to prepare for the LEED Green Associate Exam.

Participants will receive a concise, yet comprehensive 70 page workbook that summarizes all of the key information needed to pass the exam. Many past participants have passed the LEED Green Associate exam using only our workbook and sample exams provided. There are no other required materials for this course. However, it is recommended that you read through the 'LEED Green Associate Candidate Handbook' to gain a basic level of familiarity before the class.

Methods of Instruction:
This program will be administered by employing various online communication methods including virtual meeting, PowerPoint, email and/or chat. Participants will work through weekly practice problems and have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

About the Instructor and Exam Writer
Alex Spilger is Principal and Founder of GreenStep and has worked on over two-dozen diverse green building projects and has taught over 40 LEED exam training workshops through organizations such the US Green Building Council (USGBC), the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business among others. He has also developed curriculum for UC Berkeley Extension where he teaches a 6-week LEED Project Management course.

He draws from his experience working on over three dozen green building projects to offer this practical and engaging online course designed to prepare you pass the test with confidence – the first time.

His work includes facilitating eco-charrettes, researching green building technologies and policy, and managing both the people and the processes involved with taking projects through LEED Certification.

Alex is an active member of the Northern California Chapter of the USGBC and serves on the USGBC Corresponding Committee for LEED-EBOM. He is also founding board member of GreenLaces.org, a non-profit committed to leveraging the visibility and influence of athletics to create positive change for the planet. Alex is a LEED Accredited Professional, USGBC NCC Faculty, Certified Green Building Professional, AIA Continuing Education Provider, HERS Rater and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from UCLA.
