Pat asks: I am looking for basic geothermal training classes for people who have no prior building or HVAC experience. This would be entry-level training. Can you tell me what course you have that would fill than need.

Answer:Hi Pat: Thanks for your email.

For entry level, just getting started with no real background in the building industry, there are two very good options to choose from. The first of which will provide you with a professional certificate from our course provider.

Option 1 is a six week interactive online course that you attend as you would a regular class (only online) and and covers all the important fundamentals of geothermal and associated material. The course includes video instruction, homework, quizzes and a capstone lecture. You may access all the materials for 120 days in order to revisit the materials at your own pace.

Option 2, again if you're just getting started in geothermal, but want less of a commitment of time, our recommendation would be to start with this five (5) hour online training course. Again, with this program you may learn at your own pace as the instructor covers all the fundamentals of geothermal technology, building and design in various modules.
