About Ayanthi Fernando, LEED AP:

Ayanthi Fernando is a Designer and LEED AP at MGS architecture, Los Angeles.

Her experience involves Hi-end residential projects, Interior designs, modular housing projects, landscape projects and graphic design presentations. Prior to serving at MGS Architecture she was working for R.Susil Weddikkara Associates, Sri Lanka where she was involved in design projects related to office interiors, hotels and supermarkets.

Her educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Architecture and a Bachelor of Science degree in Built Environment, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

She is currently serving as the editor of the AWA newsletter (Association of Women in Architecture, Los Angeles) and also engaged in voluntary work with City of Santa Monica Green Building Program for the compilation of a database of local green building materials and services. She completed a Green workforce training program in the Long beach City College and is a Calcerts Hers Rater - Alterations and Existing Homes Compliance Rater.
