Sundolier Daylighting products offer a unique way to bring consistently bright daylight deep into the interior spaces of a building.

With its sun-tracking sunlight harvester, the Sundolier system is always positioned at the ideal angle to bring in the maximum amount of sunlight throughout the entire day. The harvester concentrates the sunlight into the tube that penetrates the ceiling, which then routes it down into the interior spaces of a building, where it is reflected off bright surfaces to fill the space with an indirect, consistent, natural light.

Sunlight and Worker Productivity

The benefits of sunlight may be a bit difficult to define in quantitative terms, but daylight’s intangible benefits produce measureable increases in productivity and energy levels of a building’s occupants. The authors of the LEED™ Green Building Rating Systems knew this, and that’s why there is one credit specifically dedicated to ensuring that building occupants be exposed to ample sunlight on a regular basis.

Schools have reported increased student participation, hospitals have been able to help patients heal faster, and retail stores have recorded improved revenues, all because of well-planned daylighting design.

On-Grid, Off-Grid, Hybrid: LED and PV Integration

Sundolier offers several configurations of their sunlight-harvesting systems; you should evaluate your project to determine which would be appropriate for your lighting design:

• Core Daylighting: The simplest of the 3 systems; uses the sun-tracking harvesting to bring daylight to the interior spaces of your building

• Hybrid Daylighting: Integrates supplemental LED lights into your system to provide energy-efficient lighting even after the sun goes down.

• Off-Grid Power & Light: Integrates standard PV panels into the harvester system to harness backup power.
