About Robert Politzer, LEED AP:

Robert Politzer is the President and founder of GREENSTREET Construction, Inc. Under Mr. Politzer's leadership, GREENSTREET has grown from a small environmental testing and abatement company to a leading green building firm, operating primarily in the tri-state region. Mr. Politzer is a LEED accredited professional and was the Chair of the Sustainable Business Task Force of the New York State Environmental Business Association. He is a former New York City public high school teacher and Adjunct Professor at New York University and the New York City Technical College.

Mr. Politzer holds a B.S. in Biology from Indiana University, a M.A. in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan, and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Manhattan College. He is a Tai Chi teacher at the West Side YMCA, father of Rebecca and Benjamin and husband of Barbara Reef.

GREENSTREET combines high end design, consulting and construction services with healthy, high-performance green building practices. From its inception, GREENSTREET has been a leader and innovator in the growing green building field. GREENSTREET installed the first residential grid-tied solar electric system in NYC. GREENSTREET provided consulting and administration services for the first LEED Certified Museum in the USA. And GREENSTREET is building the first Health House Certified project of the American Lung Association in NYC. All key staff are LEED accredited and have successfully completed the ALA Health House training program.
