Big Belly Solar provides solid waste and recycling receptacles that reduce the number of trips made by municipal and/or private waste haulers that are needed to empty the receptacles by 80%.

An integrated solar panel located on the top of each Big Belly trash generates 100% of the power needed to operate the internal compactor, creating a completely self-contained system for reducing waste pile-up. The 80% savings provide a multiplier effect by saving fuel, labor, capital and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by making fewer trips.
