LEED AP+ HOMES Beta Exam Registration

Question:

How do I participate in LEED AP Beta Tests?

Currently the Green Building Certification Institute ("GBCI") is accepting applications to participate in the LEED AP+ HOMES beta exam which is expected to take place in March 2009. Please read the eligibility requirements below... To apply, please use this online survey form:

Applying early and thoroughly will increase your chances of being chosen. The GBCI will select a broad demographic range of candidates to participate in beta testing. According to the GBCI, no specific criteria will help or hurt your chances of being selected.

Applicants must provide all required documentation in a timely manor to be considered for beta testing. Please send your supporting documentation in PDF format to volunteer@gbci.org using the same email address that you entered in your application, with your last name, first name and beta application in the subject line (ie: Smith, Jane Homes beta application)

The following documentation is required:

1. To document that you have worked on a LEED Project within the last 2-3 years, you must upload a letter from your supervisor or client describing your activities or role for a specific LEED project.

2. For candidates requesting special accommodations on the exam, please email all supporting documentation to volunteer@gbci.org with your last name, first name and "accommodations request" in the subject line. (Guidelines for acceptable documentation can be found on page 9 of the LEED AP Candidate Handbook, and more detailed instructions will be provided for candidates who request accommodations in this application)

Applicants will be chosen on a rolling basis. Candidates who apply early and send all supporting documentation to GBCI promptly have a better chance of being selected to participate.

Candidates who are chosen to participate in the beta testing will be notified via email.
