What does the sentence Demonstrate or document involvement in support of LEED projects mean?
Aret asks: What does the sentence "Demonstrate or document involvement in support of LEED projects"
(for LEED Green Ass.)or "Demonstrate professional experience on at least one LEED project" (For LEED AP+) exactly mean? LEED is pretty new in my country (Turkey).
Moreover it is neither a legal obligation nor do the investor earn any tax repay or discount for such a certification. Which means that LEED is developing
real slowly and I have not worked in a LEED project before. Actually I'm not sure if there actually is such a building with any degree of certification here. So, how will I apply for the exams, will this be an issue?
Hi Aret:
This is a hot topic on Green-Buildings.com. No one seems to know the real answer and we hope that the USGBC/GBCI comes up with some guidance on this ASAP to address the masses.
As far as we know, the USGBC is still defining what the "experience requirement" is for both LEED AP+ and LEED Green Associate but we think they'll release information on this after 3/31 when registration for the current exams expires.
For more information on theLEED AP+ experience requirement and LEED Green Associate experience requirement check out the other posts on these categories HERE
good luck!
