Eco Interiors' has opened it's doors in historic Old North Durham, NC. Located downtown, Eco Interiors is one of many businesses serving to revitalize the historic city into a creative, prosperous, and sustainably-minded destination. Eco Interiors is the only all-green interior design firm in the Research Triangle, a region that includes Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the towns that surround them.

Dana Mortensen, LEED AP, is the owner of Eco Interiors, a design firm that provides eco-logical and stylish solutions for renovating and constructing new interiors. During her first career as a Licensed Professional Counselor for those with life-threatening illness, Dana realized the fragility of life, and the importance of pursuing each day with passion and intention.

Encouraged to follow her artistic inclination, Dana returned to school to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL (FIDER Accredited).

For the last eight years, Dana has worked both independently and with architectural firms in Florida and North Carolina. She has completed renovation and new construction projects, both residentially and commercially.
