Recycled glass tiles can be used in both residential and commercial settings in vertical and horizontal applications.

As vertical accents, they make stylish kitchen backsplashes and shower surrounds. Horizontally, they may used on ceilings, surfaces (like desk tops) and as flooring (check Coefficient of Friction).
Recycled glass tiles come in a variety of shapes including circles, hexagons, squares, and subway, and include clear, iridescent, and flat finishes.
When specifying eco-conscious glass tile, look for those with high percentages of recycled content that are manufactured and distributed locally. US companies that use 98-100% pre-consumer recycled glass include Modwalls and Stardust Glass while Trend USA uses 80% post-consumer recycled glass in their FEEL Wallpaper collection.
Recycled glass tiles give new life to materials that would have typically ended up in a landfill. Recycled content includes reclaimed windows, manufacturing waste from window and windshield production, and glass drink bottles.
Recycled glass tiles can contribute LEED credits in the areas of recycled content (pre and/or post consumer) and local/regional materials (depending on the project location and product distribution point).
