Loren asks: Can I become a LEED Green Associate if I am still a student? I am a Junior at the University of Idaho studying Interior Design and Architecture.
Hi Loren,
Yes, you certainly can. You must be 18 years of age, but there is no higher education level requirement for LEED GA other than you be enrolled in a green/sustainable course of study.
As a student of architecture and design you are most likely studying green building and its benefits, so we would assume you're OK on that level.
This is an excellent way to get started in the green building industry and the first step towards your LEED AP credential.
The credential should also differentiate you from other students who do not have the experience you will have from going through the accreditation process. No downside.
Good luck!

Green Course of Study
Mon, 12/26/2011 - 17:08 — rpfjrGBCI requires that the course of study address green building principles. This could be broad green building concepts or specific (i.e. having to do with LEED).
