LEED Location and Linkages: Does Proximity to an Interchange Count?

Sab asks: Does a building get points by being at a major interchange vs. being out in the country miles from anywhere? Sab

Answer: Hi Sab, thank you for your question. The short answer is no. BUT if the interchange is adjacent to public transportation access then the answer may be yes, but the details may depend on the rating system in question.

The interchange must be either served by public transportation such as bus lines and/or a rail, light rail or subway line. 1/4 mile from at least 1 or more bus stops served by 2 lines OR within a 1/2 mile of a rail line (commuter light rail or subway, etc.)
