The 16.5-hour, Qualified Preparer of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (QPswppp) online credentialing program is comprised of six (6) courses and corresponding exams.
This program educates individuals to prepare Construction Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) in compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting program.
As a QPSWPPP, you will receive a dual credential as a QCIS, which qualifies you to inspect and maintain construction sites for stormwater compliance. This program covers the principles and practices of erosion and sediment control as well as the proper reporting and documentation requirements for ensuring compliance under the NPDES permitting program.
This program has been reviewed and recognized by the EPA and is a Level 300 United States Green Build Council approved training.

How This Training Works
This is an online class. Once you have purchased our class, and your order has been processed, you will be sent information about logging into our Online Learning Managements System (LMS).
This training covers the physical techniques as well as the proper reporting and documentation requirements for ensuring compliance under the NPDES Construction General Permit.
At the end of each online module, users take a 20-question exam that is generated from a pool of questions associated with that module. Students will not receive credit for that module until they score a 75% or greater on the exam, and can retake the exam as many times as necessary to do so.
Upon completion of all course modules, students are able to print their certificate for their records and receive a hardhat decal through the mail.
At the completion of this program, the student will be able to:
• Identify the components and framework of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting program.
• Describe the proper installation and maintenance of stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs).
• Identify the steps necessary to inspect a construction sites and determine possible causes of BMP ineffectiveness and how to correct them.
• Explain how to complete an inspection report and document corrective actions.
• Summarize the communication process necessary between owner, operators, contractors, and stormwater pollution prevention plan designer so the site stays in compliance throughout the construction project.

How to Write a Compliant Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
This online stormwater training course module covers the proper life cycle of a construction Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP); gathering the information needed; how to prepare the Construction General Permit application (NOI); documents and forms; site maps and details; and proper design procedures.
“I purchased two courses for SWPPP preparation certifications and the initial impression of the training exceeded our expectations. The courses are divided into modules that focus on key aspects of Storm Water impacts and Erosion Controls on job sites. Each module was very comprehensive and detailed. The exam at the end of each module was surprisingly challenging to say the least. All in all this was a great experience.
Thank you once again and I hope to take more courses and training as they become available.”
