Brigitte Steines, principal of steines architecture, lives and works in Lexington, Massachusetts. Prior to New England she spent almost 10 years in the San Francisco Bay area practicing residential architecture, pursuing commercial projects, and raising a family.
Originally from Berlin, Germany, she held the position of project manager at an internationally operating consulting firm, working on large scale urban design and architectural projects.
Brigitte Steines was first licensed as an architect in Berlin in 1997. Today she is also registered in California and Massachusetts.
She is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), which allows her to practice nationwide if required.
Truly believing in sustainability, she is LEED Green Associate accredited by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
Furthermore Brigitte is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Boston Society of Architects (BSA).
Locally she serves as a member on the Design Advisory Board in Lexington and sits on the Lexington school renovation committee.
