About omer Kalafatoglu, LEED AP Homes

I studied International Business in the United States prior to my employment with Skanska. I have been fortunate enough to work as a Mechanical Project Engineer on big scale projects such as Harmon Yard in Croton on Hudson, NY and Croton Filtration Plant in the Bronx, NY. During my employment with Skanska I have gained extensive amount of knowledge by continuing my education at NYU and Cooper Union where I have became skilled at sustainable construction.

I had a chance to use my knowledge and skill on a Natural Talent Design Competition which is organized by USGBC. In addition to being the team leader, I was responsible for the achievement of the targeted LEED Platinum Certification, cost analysis and the Energy modeling of the Unit. The project I had led finished at the third place in Urban Green Council.
